DDA History
The Lilburn Downtown Development Authority (“DDA”) was activated by City Resolution #191-06, which was adopted and approved on May 8, 2006. Current members of the DDA include Chairman Norman Nash, Councilman Eddie Price, Helen Morriss, Hugh Wilkerson, Jimi Taylor, Elmer Nash, and David Owen. Lilburn’s DDA was selected by City Council to serve as a coalition of business leaders to assist with revitalization and redevelopment of the central business district and to promote the City of Lilburn.
Expansion of DDA Territory
In March of 2009, the area served by the DDA was expanded to include the Lawrenceville Highway US 29 Corridor Overlay District. This enables the DDA to consider issues that apply to businesses along this heavily‑traveled roadway. The Highway 29 corridor will receive special attention in order to identify ways to strengthen and sustain business along this route.
The DDA worked with City Council to implement a strategy for a Lilburn Community Improvement District that will initiate and

DDA Meetings
Regular meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month with Work Sessions scheduled at 6:30 PM. The formal meeting begins immediately following the conclusion of the Work Session. As of April 2009, meetings are held at the City’s new First Avenue Annex, 98 First Avenue.
How To Become a DDA Member
The DDA needs good people. Terms for 5 of 7 DDA Members will expire on December 31, 2012. We seek people who wish to promote a favorable business climate.
